Federal Directorate of Education Offering Job Vacancy in Pakistan

The Federal Directorate of Education (FDE) in Islamabad is inviting applications for the position of Director General (BS-21) on a contract basis. This appointment is under the administrative control of the Ministry of Federal Education and Professional Training and is initially set for a period of two years.

  • Number of Posts: 1 (Merit)
  • Eligibility Criteria: Candidates must have a Master’s Degree (minimum of 18 years of education) from an HEC-recognized university. Relevant fields of study include Finance, Accounts, Economics, Management, Public Policy, Public Administration, Law, Education Leadership, Management, and/or Policy. Additionally, applicants must have at least 20 years of experience in fields such as Management, Educational Management, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Public Policy, Public Administration, Education Leadership, Management, and/or Policy, or Law. Out of the total experience, a minimum of 5 years must be at a senior management level, or 3 years as the head of a public or private sector organization.
  • Maximum Age Limit: 55 years

  • Applications must include a detailed CV, copies of testimonials, experience certificates, and other documentary proofs of achievements.
  • The position will be filled on a contract basis for a period of two years from the date of appointment.
  • Age will be calculated as of the closing date for application submission.
  • The competent authority reserves the right to cancel the recruitment process at any stage without assigning any reason.
  • In the case of a selected candidate who is currently employed by the government, they must resign or seek retirement from their current department or post. Their appointment will be subject to the acceptance of their resignation or retirement by the designated authority.
  • No travel or accommodation expenses will be provided for the interview.
  • Candidates called for a test or interview will need to bring their original documents and attested copies of testimonials and experience certificates.
