FIA to Launch Mobile App for Immigration Clearance in 10 Seconds

Mustafa Hameed Malik, Director of the Federal Investigation Agency’s Integrated Border Management System (IBMS), has explained how Pakistan’s border management system has improved over the years.

He also shared details about a new e-immigration mobile app that is currently being planned. The main goal of this app is to reduce passenger waiting time at airports and make the boarding and immigration process faster and easier.

In a video shared on social media, Malik talked about how IBMS has played an important role in modernizing Pakistan’s immigration system.

He explained that the system helps authorities manage passenger data more effectively and ensures better monitoring at airports and border points. This has strengthened immigration controls and helped improve national security.

Malik also said that IBMS has improved coordination between different government departments. By sharing information in real time, institutions can work together more efficiently, reduce errors, and respond quickly to any security concerns. This coordinated approach has helped create a smoother and more reliable immigration process for travelers.

The upcoming e-immigration mobile app is expected to be a major step forward. Through this app, passengers may be able to enter their travel details in advance, reducing the need for long queues at immigration counters. This will not only save time for travelers but also ease pressure on airport staff.

According to Malik, the focus is on using modern technology to build a safer and more efficient border management system. By adopting digital solutions, Pakistan aims to offer a better travel experience while maintaining strong security standards.

Once launched, the app is expected to benefit both passengers and immigration authorities, making travel more convenient and secure.
