Field Marshal Asim Munir Invited to Attend Historic US Army Day Celebrations

Pakistan’s Chief of Army Staff, Field Marshal General Syed Asim Munir, has been officially invited to the United States to take part in the historic 250th Army Day celebrations in Washington, DC. This is a major international event marking 250 years of the United States Army. General Asim Munir is expected to arrive on June 12, where he will be joining senior military leaders from around the world to honor this important milestone in American military history.

The celebrations will last for a week and include a wide variety of activities. There will be a special Revolutionary War exhibit that highlights the early history of the US Army. Spectators will also enjoy military performances, an Army birthday run, and a special event with the Washington Nationals baseball team.

The final and most significant day of the celebration will be held on June 14. It will start with a wreath-laying ceremony at Arlington National Cemetery to pay tribute to the fallen soldiers. This will be followed by a large public festival on the National Mall, a grand Army parade, aerial flyovers, fireworks, and enlistment ceremonies for new recruits.

This visit is not just symbolic—it also reflects the ongoing efforts to strengthen military cooperation and defense relations between Pakistan and the United States. It shows the importance both countries place on working together in matters of security and regional stability.
