Field Marshal Asim Munir, who leads Pakistan’s army, recently traveled to Egypt to build stronger connections between the two countries’ armed forces.
During his visit, Munir met with important Egyptian military leaders, including Defence Minister General Abdul Maged Saqar and Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Ahmed Khalifa Fatehi.

The Egyptian military showed great respect to the Pakistani leader by giving him a guard of honour, which is a special military ceremony for important guests. Munir also visited national memorials in Egypt to pay his respects, showing how much both nations value their long friendship.
Beyond military discussions, Field Marshal Munir had an important meeting with Grand Imam Sheikh Ahmed El-Tayeb, one of Islam’s most respected religious leaders. They talked about the need for Muslim countries to stand united against extremism and violence. They emphasized the importance of promoting peace and harmony within the Islamic world.
This visit marks a significant milestone in the bilateral relationship between Pakistan and Egypt. Both countries have shared historical and cultural ties, and this trip helped make their partnership even stronger.
