FIFA President Vows to Rebuild All Football Facilities in Gaza Post-Ceasefire

FIFA President Gianni Infantino has announced a major initiative to rebuild all football facilities in Gaza after the recent ceasefire agreement brought an end to months of conflict.

Speaking at the Summit for Peace in Egypt, co-chaired by U.S. President Donald Trump and Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi, Infantino said that football has the power to unite people, heal divisions, and inspire hope during difficult times.

He revealed FIFA’s plans to create a special fund dedicated to restoring Gaza’s football infrastructure, including stadiums, academies, and youth training centers.

The fund will work in close partnership with the Palestinian Football Association to ensure that young players and communities once again have access to the game.

Infantino also shared that FIFA will organize new regional and youth tournaments in Gaza once rebuilding is complete, allowing the area to reconnect with the global football community.

The FIFA chief thanked world leaders for their role in facilitating peace, especially President Trump, and called on international organizations and sports bodies to join the effort.

He concluded by saying that football can be the bridge to peace, expressing hope that Gaza’s children will soon be able to play again on their home grounds.
