According to Khawaja Asif, the minister of defence, the finance ministry lacks funding for elections.
In a joint news conference, Defense Minister Khawaja Asif and Information Minister Marium Aurangzeb spoke to the world’s media.
Imran Khan, the leader of the PTI, was denounced by Khawaja Asif for making false claims about an attempted assassination. The Defense Minister said, “He first prolonged the term of former army head General retired Qamar Javaid Bajwa and now he is now blaming him, initially, he blamed the US for his removal.”
Further, he claimed that while the former prime minister Imran Khan illegally dissolved the provincial assembly, he was legitimately removed from office by a vote of no confidence, and that Khan now doesn’t want to appear in court.
