A huge fire broke out on the second and third floors of RDF Plaza in Islamabad’s G-9 area, where the Corporate Tax Office is located. The fire caused panic among staff and forced all office work to stop immediately.
When the flames spread, Islamabad’s Fire and Rescue teams reached the scene quickly and began rescue operations. Because thick smoke filled the building, people were guided down the staircases to safety.
At first, some people were stuck inside due to the heavy smoke and blocked exits. Rescue workers acted fast to bring everyone out without any injuries or loss of life. Thankfully, no one was harmed.
The heat from the fire was so strong that windows burst, and broken glass fell on nearby footpaths and roads. Fearing for people’s safety, officials evacuated nearby offices too, just to be safe.
Authorities have launched an investigation to find out how the fire started. They will check if the building’s safety systems were working and whether any carelessness caused the fire to spread.
This incident has once again raised concerns about fire safety in commercial buildings in Islamabad. Many office workers and local residents are now demanding stricter checks and better fire prevention measures to avoid such dangerous situations in the future.
The rescue teams have now put out the fire completely and are making sure there are no remaining hot spots that could restart the flames. For now, the area has been secured while the cause is being investigated.
