Pakistan has recently achieved a landmark successfully in the sector of fisheries by developing the very first state of the art refrigerated sea water fishing boat.
Engineer Dr Zahid Ayub, The international awards’ Recipient and also the US-based Pakistani belonging to Parachinar in his presentation to Iftikhar Ali Malik, the President of SAARC Chamber said that “we have built it; however, now after meeting all the international standards and the successful trials now we put it into operation at the Karachi harbour.”
He also said that under this Refrigerated Sea Water System the sea water is as cool as to zero degree centigrade; however, the fish is kept at this cool temperature until it arrives at the harbour by maintaining its freshness as well as the hygiene.
Moreover, he further said that this technique will benefit poor fishermen of Pakistan; however, it will also change the socioeconomic condition as by exporting the fishes besides boosting fisheries sector because now fishes will not get spoiled at any cost due to the high cooling temperature.
