Malik Amin Aslam, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Climate Change (SAPM) has recently announced that first-ever Asian leopard reserve is all set to be built in Pakistan at Margalla Hills National Park.
Over 600 plant species along with 38 mammals, 27 species of reptiles and 402 bird varieties are already present in the park that has made it a bio-diversified park of the country.
Margalla Hills National Park is the third-largest national park worldwide; however, it consists of over 17,386 hectars of area. This beautiful park is located in Islamabad that is the capital of Pakistan. Margalla Hills are a famous tourism spot also and locals also enjoy the view and peace of the hills.
Margalla Hills are also known for forming the foothills of the famous Himalayas with the Rawal Lake and Shakarparian Park.
