Gold has touched a new milestone in Pakistan as prices crossed Rs. 400,000 per tola for the first time ever. The rise comes after a big jump in the international market where rates went up sharply in just a single day.
In the global market, gold per ounce increased by $59, reaching $3,818. This directly affected local prices where 24-karat gold became costlier by Rs. 5,900 per tola and is now selling at Rs. 403,600. The price of 10 grams also rose by Rs. 5,058, making it Rs. 346,021.
The sudden increase has left many people worried especially those buying gold for weddings or saving purposes. On the other hand, investors see it as a strong sign that demand will stay high and rates may go up even more in the coming weeks.
For the first time, gold in Pakistan has crossed this historic level which showed how global trends continue to shape the local market.
