Pakistan Railways has announced the launch of five special Eid ul Adha trains to help accommodate the expected surge in holiday travelers during the festive period in 2025. These special trains are scheduled to operate between June 2 and June 4 and will connect major cities across the country, offering greater convenience and easing the pressure on regular train services.
The first of these special Eid trains will depart from Karachi Cantt station for Lahore on June 2 at 1:00 PM, allowing passengers to begin their holiday travel well ahead of the celebrations.
On June 3, three more special trains will run on different routes to cater to the diverse travel needs of passengers. The first of these will depart from Quetta at 10:00 AM, heading to Peshawar Cantt. Later in the day, another special train will leave Lahore for Karachi Cantt at 5:00 PM. A third train on the same day will depart from Karachi City at 8:00 PM, making its way to Rawalpindi.
The final special train will depart on June 4 from Karachi Cantt to Lahore at 8:00 PM, providing one last opportunity for travelers to reach their destinations ahead of Eid celebrations.
Pakistan Railways has confirmed that the coaches for these special services will be arranged using resources from railway workshops and existing Eid-specific services, ensuring that the trains are equipped and ready to handle the festive rush.
These special arrangements by Pakistan Railways aim to offer more options and greater comfort to passengers looking to travel to be with their loved ones for Eid ul Adha.
