Foreign players kit bags were stolen during transit from Bengaluru to New Delhi. Among the victims were prominent cricketers like, David Warner, Phil Salt, Mitchell Marsh, and Yash Dhull. They lost three, three, two, and five bats, respectively. The theft has sparked concerns about player safety and calls for better security measures.
In addition to the stolen bats, shoes, gloves, and other essentials were reported missing. A total of 16 items were reported missing in the incident. Delhi Capitals’ management is working with authorities to resolve the matter.
This incident underscores the importance of improved security measures at sports events to safeguard players and their belongings. IPL organizers and team management must take prompt action to prevent such incidents in the future.
