Colombia’s Cessna 206 crashed in Colombian jungle on May 1 resulting in casualties, however, four children were miraculously found alive, referred to as ‘Children of Jungle’ by President Gustavo Petro.
The children have been rescued after five weeks of plane crashg that was carrying seven people. The plane experienced an engine failure during its flight from Araracuara to San Jose del Guaviare. As per the reports, cihildren’s mother, pilot, and an adult could not survive.
Four children of 13, 9, 4, and a 12-months-old baby somehow escaped death. The children belong to a Huitoto community situated near the border of Caqueta and Guaviare provinces. They have been shifted to Bogota on Saturday for medical treatment.
The grandfather and grandmother on receiving the news expressed their joy and told that older siblings knew some tips on surviving in a rainforest. The Colombian President Gustavo Petro declared the survival as the one which will be remembered in history.
Petro referred that they were the children of Jungle and now they are children of Colombia.
