Free Luggage Storage Announced for Umrah Performers at Masjid al-Haram

The General Authority for the Care of the Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque has announced a free luggage storage service for Umrah performers in Makkah. This service is designed to make it easier for visitors to carry out their religious duties without the burden of heavy bags.

The storage service is available at two locations: one is east of the Grand Mosque, near the Makkah Library, and the other is to the west, close to Gate 64. To use the service, Umrah performers need to present their permits through the Nusuk app.

The storage is available for bags weighing up to 7 kilograms, and they can be stored for a maximum of four hours. However, some items are not allowed, such as valuables, food, medicine, and prohibited goods. Visitors will need to present a claim ticket when retrieving their stored items.

This new service aims to provide convenience to Umrah performers, allowing them to enjoy their religious journey without carrying heavy luggage. The General Authority plans to expand this service to other areas around the Grand Mosque to support more visitors and make their experience more comfortable.
