According to the reports, the local costs for gasoline and diesel are expected to rise by Rs16.89 and Rs4.55 per litre, respectively, in the next two weeks, which doesn’t include the Petroleum Levy (PL) and General Sales Tax (GST).
If the PL of Rs. 10 per litre on diesel and gasoline is implemented by the government, including the GST, the cost of diesel will hike as of July 1, 2022.
The old prices of gasoline have been assessed at an amount of Rs238.44 in the upcoming two weeks in comparison to Rs233.89 for the present two weeks, a price hike of Rs4.55 per litre.
If Rs10 PL and 17 percent GST are added, the gasoline price will rise to nearly Rs290/litre on July 1, 2022.
