According to Finance Minister Ishaq Dar, the government has reduced the prices of utility stores and edible oil.
Ishaq Dar stated on the social networking site Twitter that utility stores have reduced the prices of ghee and edible oil.
He stated that the price of subsidised ghee has risen to 490 rupees per kg, taroon ghee has risen to 545 to 577 rupees per kg, and taroon cooking oil has risen to 540 to 590 rupees per kg.
According to the finance minister, second-tier ghee costs Rs 20 per kg less than the market, tier one ghee costs Rs 8 to Rs 35 per kg less than the market at utility stores, and tier one cooking oil costs Rs 40 to Rs 78 less than the market.
Finance Minister Ishaq Dar stated that utility stores will be closed and edible oil prices will be reduced immediately.
