A helicopter belonging to the Gilgit-Baltistan government crashed near Chilas during an emergency landing attempt.
The incident happened when the aircraft developed a sudden technical problem in mid-air, forcing the pilots to bring it down. Unfortunately, the helicopter caught fire as soon as it hit the ground.
There were four people on board at the time of the crash. The passengers included two pilots and two members of the technical staff.
