Prices of gold jumped much higher as the demand for the metal rose up during the inflation period.
Prices went up by Rs 2,350 per tola and Rs 2,015 per 10 grams of gold. Current price per tola stands at Rs 141,650 and Rs 121,442 per 10 grams due to the depreciation of rupee against dollar in the international market.
Closing of gold on Saturday stood at Rs 139,300 per tola and Rs 119,427 per 10 grams respectively.
Such considered fluctuations in the local currency may add up to more and more price surge for gold.
Since May 6th, a rise of Rs 9,300 has been seen in the price of gold.
In the times of inflation, gold is considered as a fence to have a safe store of value.
