The Government of Pakistan has announced an official educational visit to Türkiye for the top-performing students of the matriculation examinations from all educational boards across the country. The initiative, formally conveyed through a circular issued by the Inter Boards Coordination Commission (IBCC), aims to reward academic excellence and promote international exposure among young achievers.
According to the announcement, the program is being organized by the Ministry of Federal Education and Professional Training in collaboration with the Directorate General of Immigration and Passports. Students selected from Boards of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISEs) nationwide will travel to Türkiye on official passports, ensuring recognition as part of an official delegation.
Eligibility and Requirements
The IBCC has outlined a series of conditions that students must meet before departure. These include presenting a medical fitness certificate from a government hospital and obtaining written consent from parents or guardians. Students have also been instructed to prepare two white shalwar kameez suits with matching shoes, while the ministry will provide an official green blazer for the delegation.
In terms of travel arrangements, each student will be permitted to carry only one shoulder bag. The use of laptops and cameras has been strictly prohibited. Furthermore, the contact details of parents or guardians must be submitted in advance to ensure effective communication during the visit.
Logistics and Expenses
To facilitate the participants, the IBCC has directed that the expenses for pick and drop services will be covered by the respective boards. All educational boards are required to ensure timely arrangements and provide full guidance to the selected students.
Deadline for Submission
The circular also specifies a strict timeline. All BISEs must submit the passports and required documents of the chosen students to the IBCC Secretariat in Islamabad by September 19, 2025. These will then be forwarded to the concerned authorities for further processing.
Supervision and Coordination
The IBCC has placed the responsibility of coordination and smooth execution of the initiative on the chairpersons of all educational boards. They are expected to supervise the process closely, assist students with documentation, and ensure that all requirements are fulfilled within the given timeframe.
This initiative reflects the government’s commitment to celebrating academic achievement while also providing students with opportunities for cultural exchange and learning abroad. The upcoming visit to Türkiye is expected to not only reward the efforts of outstanding students but also strengthen educational and cultural ties between the two countries.
