Following a suggestion from the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA), the temporary government has agreed to increase the prices of petrol and diesel. The new prices will be in effect for the next two weeks.
This means that the price of petrol will go up by Rs2.73 per liter, making it Rs275.62 per liter starting from February 16, as stated in a notice from the finance ministry.
Moreover, the price of High-Speed Diesel (HSD) is also increasing by Rs8.37 per liter, making it Rs287.33 per liter. Earlier, there was a big increase of Rs13.55 per liter for petrol and Rs2.75 per liter for HSD. This change means people will have to pay more for fuel when they fill up their vehicles.
