Government is Spending Rs. 120 Billion to Provide Relief to 20 Million Deserving Families.

Dr. Sania Nishtar, Special Assistant on Poverty Alleviation, said the government is spending 120 billion rupees to help 20 million #deservingfamilies under the ‘Ehsaas Rashan Riayat programme.’

Addressing a merchants’ convention in Lahore, she stated that under the programme, each of the 20 million families will receive a monthly subsidy of 1,000 rupees on purchases of flour, pulses, ghee, and cooking oil, while merchants will receive an 8% commission.
