According to a notification issued by the Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority, all TV channels must show the Pakistan map every day before airing the 9 p.m. news bulletin (Pemra).
Pemra’s letter, headed ‘Streamlining Correct Use of Pakistan Political Map,’ stated that “all news channels (both public and private) must flash the political map of Pakistan for 02 seconds before running the news bulletin at 09:00 pm on a regular basis.”
