Power companies have decided to increase electricity prices across the country, rs 5.65 for Karachi and Rs 2.01 for the country.
The power supply companies recommended to NEPRA to increase the price of electricity in terms of monthly and quarterly adjustments.
According to the report, electricity consumers in Karachi are likely to get an increase of Rs 5.65 per unit, while electricity is also likely to be expensive by Rs 2.1 per unit for consumers across the country.
According to the report, it has been recommended to increase electricity by Rs 5.17 per unit for Karachi from January to March and 418 paise per unit for April.
Electricity is likely to be costlier by Rs2.1 per unit in terms of monthly fuel adjustment for electricity consumers across the country.
This increase has been sought under the monthly fuel adjustment of April.
The National Electric and Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) will hear the petitions of K-Electric and CPPA on May 31.
