Govt Announces Establish Quantum Valley in Abbottabad, Haripur

The Caretaker Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Arshad Hussain Shah, has unveiled plans to establish a quantum valley in Abbottabad and Haripur districts, drawing inspiration from the renowned Silicon Valley in California. This initiative is geared towards offering education and training in the field of Information & Communication Technology (ICT).

The official announcement took place during inaugural ceremonies at Haripur University and Abbottabad University. Chief Minister Shah emphasized the crucial need to align educational programs with the dynamic requirements of the job market. He views this project as a groundbreaking endeavor for the country and expressed his personal passion for its success.

The quantum valley project intends to repurpose existing school buildings in merged districts and other areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP).

The primary objective is to provide practical, market-oriented training to the youth. The initial target is to equip 500,000 individuals with the necessary skills to pursue job opportunities in Europe, Korea, Japan, and the Middle East.

The admissions for the program are set to commence this week, marking the beginning of an ambitious initiative that seeks to bridge the gap between education and industry needs.

This development reflects a forward-looking approach to empower the younger generation with relevant skills and open up avenues for employment on a global scale.
