The government has announced a comprehensive financial and welfare package for the widow of Islamabad SP Adeel Akbar, ensuring long-term stability and official support for his family. The decision honors the late officer’s service and dedication to the nation.
Under the package, the widow has been granted an official residence at the Police Lines Headquarters, where the government will fully cover all utility bills and maintenance costs. In addition, she will receive a double-cabin vehicle along with 1,000 liters of petrol per month to facilitate daily transportation needs.
To provide further assistance, the government has also approved support staff for the family, including three security personnel, two drivers, a cook, a gardener, and a sweeper. These arrangements will continue until the late officer’s retirement age, ensuring sustained comfort and security.
Officials emphasized that the initiative reflects the state’s commitment to caring for families of police officers who serve with courage and sacrifice. “This package is a gesture of gratitude and respect for SP Adeel Akbar’s exceptional service,” a spokesperson said.
Meanwhile, authorities are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding his death, reviewing reports and witness statements to ensure transparency and justice.
The special support package not only provides financial stability but also serves as a moral acknowledgment of the contributions made by Pakistan’s police officers in maintaining peace and public safety across the country.
