Govt Announces Over 3,000 New Jobs in Police Department

The Federal Government has opened more than 3,200 new jobs in the Federal Constabulary, offering opportunities for young men and women across Pakistan to join the police force. The announcement has brought excitement for those looking to serve the country in uniform.

According to the Ministry of Interior, candidates from all provinces, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Azad Jammu and Kashmir are eligible to apply. The vacancies are for the post of Constable (BPS-07), and both male and female applicants can participate in the recruitment drive.

Applicants must meet the basic requirements, which include being between 18 and 22 years old and holding an Intermediate (FA/FSc) or equivalent qualification. Physical fitness is also a key part of the process, with height, chest measurements (for males), and a running test included in the assessment.

The recruitment will be carried out in several stages. First, candidates will appear in physical tests, followed by a written exam with multiple-choice questions.

Those who qualify will then face an interview and document verification. Officials confirmed that the recruitment policy has been slightly updated this year to ensure fair and transparent hiring.

In total, Punjab, Sindh, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Balochistan will each receive 20% of the posts, while quotas have also been set aside for Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Islamabad.

Successful candidates will not only secure government jobs but will also receive uniforms and basic equipment after selection. The Ministry believes this recruitment drive will strengthen the Federal Constabulary and create new opportunities for Pakistan’s youth.
