The Karachi Circular Railway project, worth 201 billion rupees was recently approved by the National Economic Council’s Executive Committee.
Shaukat Tarin, Federal Minister of Finance and Revenue presided over the ECNEC meeting in Islamabad today.
In addition, the project calls for the building of a 43.2-kilometer dual-track urban mass transit system over the course of three years.
However, the Karachi Circular Railways Management Company will be in charge of overseeing the project’s execution, operation, and maintenance.
