The Economic Coordination Committee of the Cabinet has approved a Supplementary Grant of 747.539 million rupees in favour of the Petroleum Division in response to a proposal submitted by the Ministry of Energy on the supply of gas to localities and villages within a 5 kilometre radius of gas producing fields.
The committee met in Islamabad on Friday, with Minister of Finance and Revenue Shaukat Tarin presiding.
The granted sum will be released to SSGCL in order to complete 85 villages and localities in the current fiscal year.
