Govt to Offer 70% Subsidized Energy-Saving Fans on Installments

The federal government has announced a new plan to help people save electricity and reduce their monthly bills. Under this scheme, consumers will be able to buy energy-saving fans at 70% lower prices through easy monthly installments.

The best part is that these payments will be added directly to their electricity bills, making it simple and convenient for everyone.

These new fans use much less electricity compared to regular ceiling fans. While traditional fans use between 80 to 130 watts, energy-saving fans use only 45 to 55 watts. This means that households can save up to 80 units of electricity each month, which can lead to a 15% reduction in their electricity bills.

The Ministry of Energy has also confirmed that the relief of Rs. 7.41 per unit in electricity bills, which was announced by the Prime Minister, will still continue. This adds to the savings for people already struggling with high utility costs.

To further support energy conservation, the government has directed all provincial and federal departments to make sure public buildings follow energy-efficient building codes. This step is meant to encourage long-term energy savings and help the country use its resources more wisely.
