The federal government has quickly approved the Nawaz Sharif Cancer Hospital project, which is estimated to cost nearly Rs. 53 billion. This decision was made even though the detailed feasibility study and business plan for the project have not been completed.
Despite significant gaps in the planning, the Central Development Working Party (CDWP) has approved moving forward with the project. The CDWP has also approved five other projects, amounting to a total of Rs. 15.35 billion.
Additionally, three major projects, with a combined cost of Rs. 129 billion, have been sent to the Executive Committee of the National Economic Council (ECNEC) for further approval.
This swift approval process indicates a strong push to advance these important projects, even if some details are still pending.
