Asad Umar, Federal Minister for Planning, Growth and Special Initiatives, said on Sunday that by August, the Green Line bus project will commence operations.
He broke the news as he addressed a meeting to hand over 52 fire tenders to Karachi Metropolitan Municipality (KMC) at Governor House.
The Minister announced that “in between July and August” the Green Line bus will start operations, and a prototype bus will soon be ready for the purpose.
Umar criticized the provincial government in his address for “not empowering the civic bodies as it should”
He said the federation is working beyond its duty to give its due rights to Karachi.
