Hajj 2023 Khutbah to be Translated into 14 Languages Including Urdu

The live translation of the Arafat Day sermon, which is a significant event in the Islamic calendar, has been expanded to include 14 different languages. This decision was made by the leadership of Saudi Arabia to spread a message of moderation and tolerance to a wider audience.

Abdulrahman Al-Sudais, the president of the General Presidency for the Affairs of the Two Holy Mosques, stated that the Kingdom’s leadership is fully supporting the improvement of services at the Prophet’s Mosque and the Grand Mosque.

This is the fifth year of the live translation project for the Arafat sermon, and it has now been extended to reach people who speak 14 languages. In the first year, the translation helped 1 million people, then 11 million in the second year, 50 million in the third year, and 100 million in the fourth year.

By 2022, it is expected to reach 200 million people worldwide.The leadership has also approved translations in English, French, Malay, Urdu, Persian, Russian, Chinese, Bengali, Turkish, and Hausa. This year, Spanish, Indian, Swahili, and Tamil were added to the list of translated languages.
