After his performance in the first ODI against Afghanistan, Imam-ul-Haq has climbed to the third spot in the ICC ODI rankings. He scored 61 runs off 94 balls in the match.
Babar Azam is still leading the rankings with 880 rating points, followed by Rassie van der Dussen from South Africa with 777 rating points. Imam-ul-Haq now has 752 rating points, and he’s closing in on the second position after his 17th half-century in ODI cricket. Fakhar Zaman, who had two runs in the same match, dropped down to fifth place.
Shubman Gill from India is in the fourth position with 743 rating points. Meanwhile, Mohammad Rizwan, another Pakistani player, moved up three spots to 58th in the list for batters after scoring 21 runs against Afghanistan.
In the same match, fast bowler Haris Rauf performed exceptionally well, taking a career-best five-wicket haul. His outstanding figures of 5-18 in 6.2 overs helped Pakistan secure a massive 142-run victory over Afghanistan.
This achievement has pushed Rauf up by seven spots to the 36th position in the ODI bowler rankings. His current rating points of 522 are his highest to date. Before this, his best was 4-65 against England in 2021.
