Many viewers assumed that the State Bank of Pakistan had quietly introduced a new design without an official announcement. Some even shared the video further, believing it to be a genuine update on the country’s currency.
However, these claims are false.
A social media user known as @BlogsbyUsama later stepped forward, explaining that he had created the note design himself as part of a personal project back in 2024. Despite his admission, the video continued to be widely shared, leading to more confusion and speculation.
In response to the growing misinformation, the State Bank of Pakistan issued an official clarification. The central bank firmly denied the release of any new Rs 1,000 notes and reminded the public that any such change would be announced only through their verified communication channels, such as their website, social media accounts, and news outlets.
The bank also advised people to avoid spreading fake or unverified content, especially regarding national matters like currency. It stressed the importance of relying on trusted, official sources for updates. For now, there is no new Rs 1,000 note only a viral video and a lot of unnecessary confusion.
