Five people, including women and children, were killed during heavy rains in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Lucky Marwat district, heavy rain accompanied by gusty winds, many women and children were injured after the rains, while roofs and walls of houses also collapsed.
According to hospital sources, a child was killed and seven others were injured in Sarai Naurang area of Lucky Marwat. The dead and injured have been shifted to Sarai Naurang Hospital while an emergency has been declared in hospitals across the district.
On the other hand, in Bannu district, heavy rains and storms once again demolished the walls of houses at 8 different places and blew the roofs in some places, including Savrani, Kuki, Paka Bachak, Howed, Chand Mari, Barge Pump, New Sabzi Mandi, Pirkhel Kuki areas.
According to the hospital administration, three people, including a woman, lost their lives due to roof collapse in different areas.
A week ago, heavy rains wreaked havoc in Bannu district, in which 16 people were killed and more than 150 people were seriously injured.
