The Commission for Higher Education has invited Pakistani researchers and scholars to apply for the 2021 HEC Research Awards.
The awards aim is to acknowledge and reward excellence in research and promote publications with higher impact.
According to details, the 2021 awards are going to be given within the following three categories:
- Best researcher,
- Best young researcher,
- Best publication.
The winners of the primary two categories will receive a cash prize of Rs. 0.5 million each while Rs. 1 million are going to be given to the winner of the last category.
Moreover, the awards are going to be given across the subsequent three broad disciplinary domains:
- Social Sciences, Arts and Humanities, Law, Education, Management, or Public Policy
- Physical Sciences, Engineering, Technology, computing , Statistics, or Mathematics
- Life Sciences, Biological Sciences, Health Sciences, Pharmacy, Agriculture, or Veterinary Sciences.
HEC has set 1 February 2021 because the deadline for submission of applications for this year’s awards.
Note that for the 2021 awards, candidates who have been blacklisted by the HEC in the past for the submission of plagiarised research and publications are disqualified.
