Here are the Sweden Schengen Visa Requirements for Pakistanis

Planning a trip to Sweden in 2025? Pakistani travelers need to follow a few important steps before packing their bags. From finances to documents, applying for a Sweden Schengen visa requires proper preparation.

To get a short-term visa, applicants must show proof that they can afford their stay in Sweden.

This is done by submitting a bank statement for the last six months. The Swedish government wants to see that the applicant has steady financial activity and enough funds to support themselves.

How much is enough? As per 2025 guidelines, travelers must prove they have at least 80 euros per day for the duration of their stay. For a 90-day trip, this totals 7,200 euros (PKR 2.4 million).

The visa application is handled by the Swedish Embassy in Islamabad, which also looks after applications from Afghan citizens and legal residents in Pakistan.

But money isn’t the only thing needed. To apply, Pakistani citizens must also submit:

  • A valid passport
  • A completed visa application form
  • Two recent passport-sized photos
  • Travel insurance
  • Proof of accommodation in Sweden
  • A round-trip flight booking

The Sweden Schengen visa usually allows a stay of up to 90 days within a 180-day period and takes about 15 working days to process.

Travel consultants recommend double-checking all documents before submission. With Sweden becoming more popular among Pakistani tourists, being fully prepared can help make your visa application smooth and stress-free.
