Here’s How Much Money Pakistan to Receive Despite Early World Cup Exit

Even though the Pakistan men’s cricket team is out of the ICC World Cup 2023, they are still set to receive a significant financial reward.

They will get around $260,000 from the allocated prize money for their achievements in winning four matches and progressing to the group stage, which amounts to more than Rs73 million.

Despite facing elimination and finishing fifth in the points table, the team’s victories in four matches earned them $160,000. The International Cricket Council (ICC) awards $40,000 for each victorious match.

Additionally, just for playing in the group stage, the Pakistan team will receive $100,000. Teams losing in the semi-finals will be compensated with $800,000. The runner-up in the ICC World Cup will get $2 million, and the winning team will pocket $4 million. The total prize money for the World Cup is designated at $10 million.

The confirmed semi-finalists for the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023 are India, New Zealand, South Africa, and Australia. The knockout stage schedule includes Semi-final 1: India vs New Zealand, Semi-final 2: South Africa vs Australia, and the Final on Sunday 19th November.
