Here’s How Much Star Sports Looking for a 10 Second Ad in India vs Pakistan Match

The much-awaited India-Pakistan match at the 2023 World Cup is scheduled to take place at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on October 15.

This highly anticipated match has not only captured the attention of fans but also attracted advertisers. Disney Star, the official broadcaster of the World Cup in India, has taken advantage of the opportunity and increased advertising rates significantly. They are now asking for a massive 30 lakh Pakistani rupees (PKR) for every 10 seconds of advertising during the India vs Pakistan match.

In comparison, the standard rate for a 30-second advertising spot during other World Cup matches is set at 7 lakh PKR. Various advertising agencies now have access to Disney Star’s rate card, which is available through exchange4media.

The India-Pakistan match is expected to break viewership records, as it has done in previous World Cup editions. In the past, this contest has attracted a huge audience, with millions of viewers tuning in from all over the world. The T20 World Cup game last year recorded a viewership of 1.8 crore on Hotstar and 1.4 crore on the Asia Cup. The 2019 World Cup match witnessed a staggering 273 million viewers on television and an additional 50 million on various digital platforms in India alone, establishing itself as the most-watched cricket match ever.

With the incredible excitement surrounding this rivalry, Disney Star is counting on the India-Pakistan match to be a profitable venture, aiming to take advantage of its unmatched popularity and appeal.
