Himmel Pharmaceuticals organized a special breast cancer awareness event this October as part of its “Hertober” initiative. The seminar took place at the Police Training College in Chung, Lahore, where over a thousand female police officers and trainees gathered to learn about breast cancer prevention and early detection.
This rare event was particularly meaningful because it brought health education to women who serve and protect the nation. Female police officers often have demanding work schedules that leave little time for personal health check-ups, making such awareness sessions extremely valuable.
Two doctors, Dr. Faiza Rehman Lodhi and Dr. Jawayria Sajjad, conducted the session. They delivered a simple but urgent message: timely screening saves lives. The doctors explained how to recognize early symptoms of breast cancer, understand risk factors, and encouraged the officers to support each other in seeking medical advice when needed.
The event was made possible with support from Dr. Suleman Sultan Rana, DIG Establishment-I Punjab, who showed his commitment to the well-being of female officers. Himmel Pharmaceuticals believes that healthcare companies should do more than just provide medicines; they should also educate communities.
Through Hertober and similar initiatives, the company is working to spread health awareness across Pakistan, treating education as the first line of defense against disease and transforming outreach into empowerment for women.
