Honda Atlas Cars (Pakistan) Limited has achieved a major milestone by exporting its first shipment of locally assembled vehicles to an international market. A total of 38 Honda City cars were successfully exported to Japan, marking the beginning of Honda Atlas’s entry into the global automobile export industry. This development is being seen as a proud moment for Pakistan’s auto sector and a positive step towards showcasing locally made products on the world stage.
In terms of financial performance, Honda Atlas reported a remarkable 42% increase in revenue for the financial year MY25. The company’s total revenue reached Rs78 billion, supported by a 53% surge in the number of cars sold. This strong growth highlights the increasing demand for Honda vehicles in the local market, as well as the company’s efforts to expand and innovate.
However, despite this achievement, Honda Atlas also pointed out the challenges it faces in expanding exports on a larger scale. The company mentioned that high production costs and limited government support remain major obstacles. These factors make it difficult for local manufacturers to compete with international exporters. Nevertheless, the first successful shipment to Japan is a promising sign of what can be accomplished, and it sets the stage for future growth in international trade for Pakistan’s auto industry.
