Atlas Honda has surprised the market by unveiling its first electric scooter, the Honda BENLY e, in Pakistan.
The company introduced the two-wheeler at an event in Sheikhupura, marking a significant move into the electric vehicle market.
The scooter, positioned as a symbol of innovation and sustainability, represents a departure from traditional petrol-powered bikes.
While Atlas Honda is the first among the major motorcycle manufacturers in Pakistan to introduce an electric scooter, several other companies, including Yadea, Metro, and Road Prince, have already entered the electric scooter market.
The move by Atlas Honda aligns with the growing demand for more affordable and cost-effective alternatives amid high petrol prices.
The Honda BENLY e boasts an 87-kilometer range, a 180-minute charge time, and a top speed of up to 45 kilometers per hour. However, the company has not provided specific details for the Pakistan market, and the launch date remains uncertain.
This development underscores the industry’s shift towards electric mobility and signals a commitment from major manufacturers to explore new avenues in the Pakistani market.
