Hyundai has come up with a new wheel and tire design that has built-in snow chains. These chains can be pulled out or put back in by pressing a button. The tire has six grooves with special wires that work like snow chains.
These wires are made partly with a special material that changes shape when an electric current is applied. When the driver needs them, they press a button, and these special wires come out, acting like snow chains.
Hyundai has officially patented this technology and is thinking about making it in large quantities after more testing and improvements.
