According to ESPNcricinfo, Imad Wasim and Azam Khan are set to join the Seattle Orcas team in the first season of Major League Cricket (MLC) in the United States. Although they don’t have central contracts with the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), they have given their initial agreement to play for the Seattle-based franchise, which is supported by the GMR Group, co-owners of the Delhi Capitals in the Indian Premier League. The report mentioned that two other Pakistani players, who are regulars in the national team and have central contracts, are also in discussions with another MLC team. However, their participation in the league is awaiting approval from the PCB, who will decide whether to grant them No-Objection Certificates (NOCs) to compete in the tournament.Media reports suggest that the PCB has responded positively to the MLC’s request to include Pakistani players but has set a condition for their participation. The PCB has asked the MLC management to pay $25,000 for each player’s involvement in the league. The MLC is scheduled to take place from July 13 to July 30 in Dallas and will feature six teams. The tournament has already attracted renowned players from various cricket-playing nations, generating excitement and anticipation for the league’s inaugural season.
