The government’s efforts to ensure the supply of petroleum products to the people at cheap prices started succeeding.
Minister of State for Petroleum Mosaddeq Malik said that the import of cheap oil from Russia will start this month. Russia will import 33 percent of the country’s crude oil requirement.
Mosaddeq Malik said that no one, including the United States and Europe, has any objection to buying oil from Russia, the first cargo will show how much crude oil our refineries can clean, but if we buy cheap oil from the global market, then the people of Pakistan will benefit.
The Minister of State for Petroleum said that final talks are being held to buy cheap oil from Russia, Pakistan will place the first order for import of oil from Russia this month. It takes 26 to 27 days for the cargo from Russia to reach Pakistan.
