India defeated Pakistan by five wickets to win the Asia Cup 2025 final at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium in Dubai.
The victory came in front of a packed crowd, as the two arch-rivals met in one of the most anticipated matches of the year.
Batting first after being asked to set a target, Pakistan managed to score 146 runs before being bowled out in 19.1 overs.
Sahibzada Farhan played a fighting knock of 57 runs from 38 balls while Fakhar Zaman added 46 off 35 deliveries. Despite their efforts, Pakistan lost wickets regularly and could not build a big total.
India’s bowlers kept the pressure on throughout the innings, with Kuldeep Yadav standing out. The left-arm spinner delivered a brilliant spell,
taking four wickets for 30 runs in his four overs. His breakthroughs proved crucial in restricting Pakistan.
In reply, India chased the target with confidence. Tilak Varma was the star of the innings, staying unbeaten with a superb 69 runs.
Shivam Dube supported him well, scoring 33 off 22 balls while Sanju Samson added 24 off 21 deliveries. India reached the target comfortably sealing the Asia Cup 2025 trophy with five wickets in hand.
