India has restricted access to information and democratic freedom of expression by shutting down the Twitter account of Radio Pakistan.
According to a report published by the press, the main reason for the social media account of Pakistan’s public broadcaster being concealed was to allude to serious human rights violations in the unlawfully seized area of Jammu and Kashmir by India.
The Spokesperson of Radio Pakistan, Chaudhry Zameer Ashraf, showed anxiousness at the suspension of the Twitter account and claimed that Radio Pakistan strictly committed to that at an international level and promoted positivity in its news articles every time.
For the security of the right to liberty of communication and accessibility to information, he requested Twitter to quickly set up the Radio Pakistan account in India.
