India-Pakistan Cricket Series Not Possible Until These Issues Not Resolved, Indian Sports Minister

The Indian Sports Minister, Anurag Thakur, has dismissed the possibility of a cricket series between Pakistan and India. According to Wazir Khil, such a series cannot happen until the relations between the two countries improve.

In an interview with Indian media, both Wazir Khil and former BCCI Secretary Anurag Thakur made it clear that the BCCI had previously decided that bilateral series with Pakistan would not take place until there was an improvement in border relations.

Anurag Thakur added in his interview that he believes this sentiment resonates with the common citizens of India. It’s important to note that bilateral cricket matches between Pakistan and India’s cricket teams have been on hold for many years. The last time India visited Pakistan was in 2006, and Pakistan’s team last visited India for a series in 2012.

Currently, Pakistan and India teams only compete against each other in ICC and Asia Cup tournaments.
