Indian Citizens Demand Reopening of Kartarpur Corridor After Ce@sefire with Pakistan

After a recent ceasefire between Pakistan and India, many voices in India are now asking the government to reopen the Kartarpur Corridor. This special route allows Sikh pilgrims to visit the sacred shrine of Guru Nanak, located in Pakistan, without a visa. The corridor has been an emotional and spiritual connection for Sikhs around the world, especially since its opening in 2019.

The demand to reopen it has grown stronger after India recently allowed Afghan trucks carrying fresh produce to pass through the Wagah border. This route had been closed earlier due to the Pahalgam attack. The reopening of Wagah has given hope that the Kartarpur Corridor might also be opened soon.

For many Sikhs, visiting Kartarpur is not just a journey — it is a way to connect with their religious roots. Thousands of devotees have already traveled there since 2019, and a continued closure feels like a setback to their faith and religious freedom.

Community leaders and political figures are also joining the call to urge the Indian government to reconsider and take steps to resume the pilgrimage.

Reopening the corridor would not only fulfill the religious needs of the Sikh community but also send a positive message of peace and mutual respect between the two nations. With both sides showing signs of cooperation after the ceasefire, this could be the perfect time to support harmony through religious unity.
