Sources reported that a teacher in India had given an example of sincerity to the profession by returning his salary of around 2.4 million Indian rupees for two years and nine months for failing to educate his students throughout the academic session.
“What a salary if [I] wasn’t teaching [students],” said Dr Lallan Kumar when he made a lump sum transfer of INR 2,382,228 to the university administration.
Kumar is an award-winning academic and associate professor of Hindi at a university in the Muzaffarpur area of Bihar State, India.
